What time should I arrive for cafeteria duty?
It is important to arrive no later than 10:45 AM. If you must cancel, please contact Mrs. Bongiovi as soon as possible so a replacement can be found. Please remember to remain in the kitchen area while the children have thier lunch. This helps ensure the safety of all our children.

What happens if I am late picking up my child at dismissal time?

Occasionally, a parent could arrive late due to unexpected traffic or other compelling reason. Whenever possible, parents are asked to call the school as soon as it is evident that they will be late. Students without parents or designated individuals waiting for them are told to remain on the school step at dismissal time, and they will be brought back into the building shortly afterwards. When students are waiting for ten minutes past dismissal time, the school will make every effort to call parents, and students are placed in our After Care service at an hourly fee. In the event that parents cannot be reached by phone, a message will be left on the
answering machine. Please keep in mind that After Care students are to be picked up from the rear "cafeteria" entrance to the school. For this reason, parents are asked to submit the After Care application, even if they do not intend to use the service regularly, so the After Care provider will have emergency information in the event a child needs to be placed in After Care.

Can my child wear a gym uniform on Mass days?

The gym uniform can be worn on Mass days if a class is scheduled for gym on this day. The only exception to this is for students who will be up at the altar for readings, etc. These students should wear the regular school uniform and then change after Mass if gym is scheduled on the Mass day.

What are the policies concerning after-school clubs?

Unless a student brings a note from home or calls the school office, all students signed up for a club will be required to stay for the club meeting. There are no exceptions! Students may not phone home to determine if parents have remembered the club meeting. All club meetings are posted on the monthly school calendars. If a club meeting is not listed on any particular day, the club will not meet on that day. If a teacher makes a change to the posted club dates, parents will be notified either by a written notice sent home with the student or a phone call from the school. Students who wait more than 10 minutes after the club has been dismissed will be placed in After Care at an hourly rate. Parents are asked to note that students remaining after school for clubs are NOT permitted to leave the school building (see parent/student handbook). This is to ensure the safety of students. Students registered for clubs will be expected to stay for all club meetings (except for absences or parent notes sent in during the school day). Students cannot vary attendance by choosing to stay or return home at the end of the school day. Attendance, as much as possible, needs to remain constant.
